Hi there,
My name is Zach Hoffman, and I am KidStarter. I have over 14 years experience teaching piano to children of all ages, and I have been teaching youth piano full time since 2016. I aim to develop a relationship with your family that will be a constant through their entire childhood, and will present itself with a lifelong love of music and performing.

I consider my role to be that of a coach, as getting a child to practice (and more importantly, *enjoy* practice) can sometimes be the biggest hurdle to overcome. I will be there every step of the way giving them the encouragement and skills necessary to make sitting down to practice the best part of their day. I also offer FREE practice phone calls during the week (5-10 minutes) to my students that need the extra encouragement getting started. I’m here for you to make sure you and your child are getting the most out of these lessons.
I have a high success rate with my students, with many children playing for a period of three or more years, and I have had the pleasure of teaching some of my students from the very beginning (7 years!).
— REMOTE LESSONS WORK —
I shifted to remote lessons in 2020 and quickly discovered how effective one-on-one remote learning can be and how it actually has advantages to traditional in-person lessons such as increased student independence and scheduling flexibility, while still maintaining a focus on the physicality involved in learning piano. I highly recommend giving it a shot. I am confident you will be satisfied with the service I offer.

My name Zachary Hoffman, I'm KidStarter - a father of three, musician, and lifelong lover of music education.

I source my lessons from numerous books, online sources, and create many materials myself. I can custom create lessons based on your child's musical interests and goals.
